How to Use ProprioPipe for Rehabilitation

Step 1: Consult a Healthcare Professional

Before starting your rehabilitation journey with ProprioPipe, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional. They can assess your condition and provide guidance on incorporating ProprioPipe into your rehabilitation routine effectively.

Step 2: Setup and Preparation

  • Fill ProprioPipe with water to the desired level, adjusting the difficulty based on your skill level and healthcare professional’s recommendations. We would suggest you start with 150 - 175ml of water only. As you improve add 50ml to increase the challenge.

  • Hold the device securely, ensuring a comfortable grip.

    ** When starting with ProprioPipe we suggest holding in the easiest position. The first “P” in the logo designates the middle of the pipe. This is the best place to start. Your healthcare professional may direct you to hold in a different position to increase the difficulty.

Step 3: Focus and Balance

  • Position the spirit level in an easily accessible location on the device. When holding the ProprioPipe in front of your body position the spirit level so it is visible.

  • Focus on keeping the bubble in the centre of the spirit level while using the device.

Step 4: Gradual Progression

  • Begin with a short amount of time. We suggest trying for 1 minute with 150mL of water in ProprioPipe at first. Gradually increase the time spent and the amount of water as advised by your healthcare provider.

  • Perform the exercises regularly as part of your rehabilitation routine.

  • A good goal to reach is completing 2 minutes with ProprioPipe. We have found that if you can hold ProprioPipe for 2 minutes easily you should increase the challenge by adding more water.

Step 5: Stay Consistent

  • Consistency is key to achieving positive results. Incorporate ProprioPipe into your rehabilitation regimen regularly and stay motivated throughout your journey.
